This is a brand new role, come put your thumbprint on our organization. The Market GM will cover the following markets, and the GM will be have a home base in one of the regions:Missouri ArkansasKansas This is a traveling position which may include overnights. Within the first 6 months plan to be visiting the regions at minimum 2-3 days a week to learn the customer base, and more.The Market General Manager will be responsible for formulating overall strategy, managing people, and enforcing company standards across a designated geography. Ensuring delivery of company customer service platform through: Asset Management, Process Management, People Management, and Safety Management.Objectives:Drive revenue and gross margin results of market and growing profitability and market share. Develop and train all Branch Managers and Sales Representatives on new and existing business processes and procedures.Train Sales Representatives in sales techniques and product knowledge. Increase inventory turns and eliminate inventory shrinkage.Manage and train employees on safety (incidents, lost time accidents).Day to Day Responsibilities:Actively demonstrate, though one’s actions, a commitment to creating a safe workplace free of all injuries.Focus on the things that ensure outstanding customer experience, compliance, productivity and ultimately, profitability.Day-to-day management of operational and sales staff, including training, coaching, and mentoring to cultivate a team environment.Contribute and support the execution of margin growth.Leads, through mentoring and training, all sales and account/planning, forecasting, reporting, management efforts for key assigned accounts within territory.Strategizes with sales resources to develop territory / accounts plans to maximize revenue and growth.Supervises account planning and sales forecasting for sales resources.
