Faculty Appointment Type Non-Tenure Track Term (if applicable) 12 month Begin Date of Appointment 07/01/2025 Exempt/Non-Exempt Exempt General Function The Clinical Assistant Professor is a non-tenure track position with responsibilities for clinical education and service. Clinical faculty may participate in research or other scholarly or creative activities.Description of Primary Duties We seek a candidate who can work effectively with a team of faculty to deliver a high-quality, engaging, and consistent anatomy instruction for several programs within the school. The successful candidate will be knowledgeable about the use of student-focused pedagogy in the classroom to engage students in the learning process and will join a unit that provides students with access to high-impact practices aimed at increasing student retention, persistence, and success. The primary duty of this position include teaching didactic courses and labs in Anatomy to students focused on clinical professions; both prosected and dissected experiences are included in the lab sections. Additional duties include organizing and coordinating anatomy lab spaces, assisting with graduate student research, mentoring graduate students, engaging in research, collaborating in school advancement, and involvement in university service. The service responsibilities of this position include collaborating with members of the school to maintain accreditation, serve on university, college, and program committees and participate in activities that contribute to the community and the public affairs mission of the university.Minimum Acceptable Qualifications The minimum acceptable qualifications for the Clinical Assistant Professor rank are determined by the department and approved by the Dean and the Provost. Clinical Faculty must be qualified as defined by professional/discipline standards, have practical experience appropriate for the responsibilities assigned, and must maintain appropriate professional credentials. The ability to develop knowledge of, respect for, and skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds is required.Additional Qualifications

Academic, clinical, or medical doctorate (or equivalent, ABD will be considered).

Experience in teaching graduate level pro-section and dissection anatomy courses.

Experience in supervising graduate student fellows (or similar) involved in lab settings.

Effective written and oral communication.

Potential for or evidence of innovative, learner-centered pedagogy.

The ability or potential to mentor and support our student population.
