Position Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Wage: $20-$23/hour
Shift: 1st
Hours: 8am-4:30pm Mon-Fri with some OT
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment, with a primary focus on conveyor belts and associated systems. This is a direct hire position offering competitive compensation and benefits.
Maintenance Mechanic Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on conveyor belts and machinery to ensure efficient operation
- Assemble and disassemble machinery and equipment as needed for repairs or upgrades
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and determine best course of action for repairs
- Replace or repair defective parts using hand tools and power tools
- Conduct preventive maintenance tasks to prevent equipment downtime
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed
- Comply with company safety guidelines and regulations
Maintenance Mechanic Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical school certification or apprenticeship preferred
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or similar role, with expertise in working on conveyor belts and machinery
- Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
