Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery is seeking a reliable and hardworking Seasonal Cemetery Grounds Worker to assist with the maintenance and upkeep of cemetery grounds. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, have landscaping or groundskeeping experience, and take pride in maintaining a respectful and well-kept environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform general lawn care, including mowing, trimming, edging, and weeding.
Assist with the installation and maintenance of grave markers and monuments.
Assist in preparing burial sites as required.
Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and hand tools.
Assist with planting and maintaining trees, flowers, and shrubs.
Provide respectful and professional service to visitors and grieving families.
Follow all safety procedures and guidelines.
Qualifications:
Landscaping, groundskeeping, or a related field preferred.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Basic knowledge of grounds maintenance equipment and tools.
Strong attention to detail and respect for cemetery policies and visitors.
Strong work ethic.
Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday, occasional weekends
