The Parent Educator runs the Parent Place program within Thrive. This position provides direct information, education and support services to parents and assists in coordination, facilitation, scheduling and evaluation of classes, events and activities for parents and families. The Parent Educator meets one-on-one with parents to provide education and support as well as with families in group settings. Some evening and weekend work is required. The position can be fast paced with numerous tasks and demands competing against one another for attention and little supervision.
This position is designed to support children and parents in order to promote the academic, social, and emotional success of children.
This position may occasionally require work outside of normal working hours, including some weekends when events are held.
