Crown Creations is a quality-driven high end custom architectural woodworking company established in 1985 located in Livingston, Montana at the head of Paradise Valley bordering Yellowstone National Park. The Yellowstone River runs through Livingston which is nestled between three mountain ranges. Outdoor recreational opportunities abound as well as cultural, live music and great restaurants. Livingston is a town of approximately 8,000 friendly folks offering small town living with easy access to larger towns such as Bozeman and Billings. We have an immediate opening for a CAD Designer/Drafter.

Job Summary:

The Cabinetry Engineer will be responsible for working hand in hand with our team developing shop drawings, cut lists, full scale templates and conceptual design drawings for internal use and architectural submittals. The work will include prototyping, product documentation and research. The successful candidate will report directly to the owner/project manager and will collaborate with design/purchasing and shop/assembly teams on design and production projects. Responsibilities & Duties:

Use specialized software: Cabinet Vision, AutoCAD and SketchUp to create models and drawings for comprehensive shop drawings and cut lists of projects.

Develop and produce Excel Spreadsheets for job related schedules (i.e. cabinet, door, hardware and finish schedules).

Complete field measurements on job sites to assure accuracy prior to fabrication.

Research new materials, hardware, equipment and methods of production.

Develop coordination of appliances and hardware integration with cabinetry, doors and furniture.

Organize records and job documentation during the drawing and design process.

Confirm designs and processes with project manager.

Ensure drawings, specifications, materials and accompanying documentation adhere to applicable shop standards and production procedures in collaborations with project manager and shop foreman.

Assist in completing the fabrication of projects as needed.

Ensure all project components are fabricated and ready for shipment and installation.

Qualifications:

Certificate, Associate or Bachelor degree or job experience in related field.

Knowledge of computer operations including the following applications:

Microsoft Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, Bluebeam Revu (PDF read/write) familiarity with AutoCAD, Sketch-Up and proficiency in Cabinet Vision preferred. Candidates with experience using similar CAD oriented programs will be considered.

Ability to read architectural blue prints, familiarity with material types and basic understanding of cabinetry, passage door & furniture construction.

Basic woodworking skills and familiarity with shop tools and machinery desirable but not necessary.

Impeccable attention to detail.

Ability to plan, schedule, coordinate and problem solve effectively.
