Montana Ironworks is seeking an Entry Level Project Manager to work in the luxury residential and commercial markets in the Rocky Mountain Region. Our Project Managers are responsible for managing projects from estimating through completion while optimizing safety, quality, schedule, profitability, promoting customer satisfaction and maintaining Montana Ironworks’ reputation.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering or Management or Equivalent experience in a construction-related

position will also be considered.

Experience working for a Subcontractor or General Contractor preferred.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Thorough attention to detail, with the ability to recognize discrepancies.

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

Ability to perform takeoffs and create estimates is preferred.

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, and Outlook are required.

Proficient with the following software preferred:

o Bluebeam Revu

o Procore

o Smartsheet

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Interpersonal skills and ability to meet potential new clients and trade partners.

Ability to freely access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environments.

Daily trips out of the office are a regular occurrence. (1-2 days/week)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

These duties will be adjusted depending on experience and understanding of the position.

Estimating

o Perform quantity takeoffs.

o Solicit material prices from suppliers.

o Prepare detailed labor estimates utilizing man-hours

o Coordinating with other Project Managers in finalizing estimates.

Assessing site safety and implements actions to prevent injury to property and personnel.

Identifying required resources, both internal and external to achieve project goals.

Project Scheduling – Coordinate with Shop Manager on fabrication schedule and clients on install dates. Attend

weekly meetings to understand site conditions and readiness.

Job Cost management – Maintain an accurate and up to date Project Job Cost. analysis of construction costs.

Tracking of projects in Procore - submittals, subcontracts, change orders, pay applications, RFI’s, etc.

Coordinate and schedule shop drawings and samples for clients.

Responsible for ordering and scheduling job supplies for delivery to the shop or field as needed.

Communicate well to internal management and clients on job progress and project schedule.

Maintain proactive communication between all involved parties, including the client, general contractors, architect,

designers, engineers and consultants.

Manage expectations of the client, general contractors, designers, consultants, etc.

Coordinate and conduct site walks, including site inspections throughout the construction process and upon the

completion of each scope to ensure quality control.

Process monthly pay application to clients

Review and approve invoices from subs and vendors

Other Qualifications

Energetic self-starter must be able to work independently with the ability to multitask, possessing a “get it done”

attitude.

Is willing and able to follow systems.

Able to accept and respond to suggestions and constructive criticisms in an amicable manner.

Demeanor that is friendly and cooperative both internal and external to the company.
