We are a remote fishing camp 1/3 of a mile from the Pacific Ocean on the Alaska Peninsula! We are currently looking for a cook for this summer. The Cook duties would include cooking breakfast and dinner for a camp of 15 people. 6 staff and 9 guests.

We’re hiring a camp cook for the 2025 summer season at Alaska Wilderness SAFARI, a world-class fly fishing camp located deep in the untamed Alaska Peninsula—where bears far outnumber people and every day is an adventure. We do a lot of fishing for halibut, rockfish, lingcod, and salmon—so you’ll have the opportunity to work with an abundance of fresh, wild-caught seafood!
This is not your typical kitchen job. This is a calling for those who crave challenge, embrace solitude, and find joy in feeding and supporting people in the wild. We do a lot of fishing for halibut, rockfish, ling cod, and salmon so you will get to work with a lot of fresh seafood!
Position Details:
Season: 7/25 - 9/25
Location: Remote Alaska Peninsula (fly-in only)
Compensation: Based on experience + weekly tips when clients are present
Perks: Round-trip airfare to/from Alaska, room and board included

Your Mission
Prepare hearty, delicious breakfast and dinner daily for up to 15 people (no lunch)
Maintain a clean and organized cook tent; clean as you go
Create the season’s menu (templates provided, creativity welcome)
Build the preseason grocery list and manage weekly perishable orders
Unload and carry groceries and supplies
Assist with camp setup and breakdown
The Reality
This job will test you—physically, mentally, and emotionally. You’ll work with limited power, minimal supplies, and the relentless forces of nature. It’s remote, rugged, and not for the faint of heart. But if you can handle it, you’ll earn the chance to cook in one of the most breathtaking “offices” on the planet.
