Job Title: Food and Beverage Director/Restaurant Supervisor

Position Type: Full-time

Location: Gallatin River Lodge 9105 Thorpe Rd. Bozeman MT

Gallatin River Lodge is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate food and beverage person to lead our restaurant FOH team. This position is a great opportunity to transition away from chaotic corporate rules that don’t make sense and operate in a restaurant setting the puts the guest’s experience first. We are a small establishment that is making a big impact on the Bozeman restaurant scene. We value teamwork, transparency, fun with dining, work life balance, and culinary and service excellence. This position is ideal for a seasoned manager who is looking to bring an authentic Montana dining experiences to their guests or the up and coming hourly employee that wants to take their career to the next level.

Responsibilities: Overseeing Nightly Restaurant Services; Ensure smooth operation of restaurant services & banquet service during opening hours.

Supervise and coordinate with service staff to maintain high standards of customer service.

Address customer concerns and ensure their satisfaction.

Bar Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of bar inventory levels. Monitor usage and reordering of beverages and supplies. Implement strategies to minimize waste and maximize profitability.

Training and Development: Conduct training sessions for service staff and bar staff. Ensure that all team members are knowledgeable about menu items, service standards, and safety procedures. Provide ongoing coaching and support to enhance staff performance.

Collaboration with Other Departments: Coordinate with lodging department and other relevant departments to ensure seamless guest experiences. Participate in regular meetings with department heads to discuss cross-functional initiatives and resolve issues.

Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of dining areas, bar areas, and service stations to ensure cleanliness and compliance with health and safety regulations.

Monitor food and beverage quality to uphold the restaurant's reputation for excellence.

Financial Management: Assist in budget planning and monitoring for the food and beverage department. Identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue generation. Track sales trends and adjust strategies accordingly to maximize profitability.

Qualifications: Proven experience in the restaurant industry, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Excellent communication and customer service abilities. Proficiency in inventory management and financial analysis. Knowledge of food and beverage industry trends and best practices. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Compensation: Salaried Role DOE. Must be able to work afternoons and evenings 1-9pm. Health Insurance and other Full Time Benefits available.
