Wild Crumb is in search of an experienced and passionate pastry chef to lead our team of dedicated bakers. We are looking for a fun, creative and focused leader who has a passion for assorted breakfast pastries, cakes, tarts, pies, confections, etc. Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work weekends and holidays.
Job Description
The Pastry manager will hire, train and oversee the pastry team, currently 7 employees and 4 scheduled shifts/day. Must be proficient in Excel, Word, and basic computer skills.
Responsibilities include:
-Hiring/Firing: indeed + craigslist
-Training
-3 month and annual staff reviews
-Enforce and fulfill special order systems, wholesale + website orders
-Monthly employee scheduling on Homebase
-Work/communicate with other managers to maintain healthy operations
-Maintain recipe binder
-Create new systems/protocols for efficiency when needed (summer vs winter sales)
-Create holiday special order menus
-Create bi weekly rotating cold case menus and counter specials
-Implement and enforce safe food handling practices and store policies
-Promote a healthy work environment through communication, leading by example and setting employees up for success
