Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking
- Cook food items according to recipes and menu specifications
- Ensure that all dishes are prepared in a timely manner
- Monitor food stock levels and notify the kitchen manager of any shortages
- Maintain a clean & organized work area, including proper storage of ingredients & equipment
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Line Cook or relevant role in a restaurant or kitchen setting
- Knowledge of food handling, meal preparation, and cooking techniques
- Understanding of food safety practices and regulations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
