Montana Whitewater (MWW) is a locally owned, outdoor adventure company, based in Bozeman, MT. We offer summer activities to thrill-seekers and families out of locations in Gardiner, Bozeman and Big Sky. Adventures include rafting, ziplining, fly fishing, river tubing, and horseback riding. MWW takes pride in providing excellent outdoor experiences and customer service to all of our guests.
Position Overview:
Montana Whitewater is seeking an Office/Location Manager. This is a full-time seasonal/year-round position at Montana Whitewater Rafting, Yellowstone ZipLine Tours & Madison River Tubing Co. with a home base in Bozeman and the summer season spent at our Gallatin Canyon office. This person is responsible for the oversight of the Gallatin office’s customer service, risk management, reservations, organization, flow, cleanliness, property/gear/vehicle maintenance, and activity promotion. This person will coordinate overall operations, being sure to remain in line with the goal of offering a low risk, organized, fun and memorable environment for our employees and guests, and promoting MWW’s mission.
This position is responsible for managing the office staff/reservationists for our Gallatin location and mentoring the team. This person will also manage MWW’s retail across all our locations, including inventory, tracking and ordering. The Office Manager is a key link in the optimization of the company’s day-to-day operations and will be working with all departments (reservationists, photographers, raft managers and guides, zip line managers and guides, etc.) to create a smooth, safe, efficient and fun door-to-door experience for the guest.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Degree in Recreation, Leadership, Business Management, Human Resources or equivalent
Minimum 2 years in a management position overseeing 5+ employees.
Minimum 4 years work experience in an office/customer service/reservations setting, recreation-based
preferred
Past experience in Retail or Retail Management
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Driver's license with no citations in the last 3 years (strongly preferred)
Extensive background in the outdoor recreation industry
Proficiency with WordPress and/or Illustrator
RESPONSIBILITIES:
ON-SEASON: (Daily operations will be in Gallatin Gateway, Montana)
-Manage Office Staff and Administrative Duties: manage reservations and reservationist team; maintain
cleanliness and organization of the retail/check-in area, coordinate between departments relative
to day- of-trip logistics; managing the check in process when guests arrive, and streamlining the
post-trip environment and customer follow up. Manage daily monetary reconciliations and
troubleshoot discrepancies. Coordinate with partner companies and other office locations to
ensure proper planning for upcoming trips. Manage large group reservations and preparations.
-Manage and oversee retail inventory, re-orders, organization, etc.
-Manage Location's Human Resources: assist in organizing employee paperwork and schedules
-Manage CDL Drivers and DOT regulations
-Manage Company Facilities: maintain utilities, cleanliness, upkeep and repairs for property
-Support the Raft and ZipLine Managers
-Support Photographers: scheduling, inventory, selling and distributing photos

OFF-SEASON (Daily operations will be in Bozeman, Montana)
-Complete season start up and closing tasks.
-Implement changes in staffing, trips offered, customer expectations, reservation information, safety
protocols, etc. as appropriate for improvements.
-Assist in updates to marketing materials such as websites and brochures.
-Create and maintain positive local business relationships via partnerships, reciprocal link exchange,
chamber meetings, etc.
-Assist in the management of reservation systems.
-Stay up-to-date with industry shifts in marketing techniques, employment law, risk mitigation, etc. -Attend local workshops and annual industry conferences as applicable.
-Maintain an expert knowledge of the company as a whole in order to aid with customer phone calls, emails, reservations, etc.
