Operations Manager Position at Bozeman Montessori

Bozeman Montessori is seeking a part-time Operations Manager to start as soon as possible. This position is responsible for administrative duties associated with running a thriving early childhood education facility. The successful candidate will execute a variety of day-to-day and long term duties in coordination with the Director. This individual is a member of the administrative team, having accountability for office systems, facility coordination, compliance, and staff support. As a key member of Bozeman Montessoris administrative team, the Operations Manager will provide critical daily support with an ongoing focus towards creating a highly functioning, supportive, and effective work and learning environment.

Operations Manager Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Participate in staff development: interviewing, onboarding/orientation, planning, and implementing topics for staff development days, etc.

Manage schedules: plan for staffing needs going into the school year and summer programs, manage weekly schedules, manage substitute pool and find substitutes for vacations and sick days, communicate schedule changes with staff, etc.

Manage staff/childrens files: update records when relevant, maintain immunization compliance, assist with waitlist management, handle on-boarding of new families, etc.

Compliance: prepare and submit paperwork for licensing renewal and STARS assessments, track all records concerning licensing regulations, schedule inspections, be aware of requirements the school will be assessed on and communicate with staff as necessary, update and review all policies annually and as needed.

Facilities: schedule maintenance and repairs as necessary.

Community communication: newsletters, prepare, and post community communication, assist staff in reminding families of school closures, manage social media accounts.

Marketing: plan and implement marketing strategies.

General: provide support to staff as needed day-to-day, be available for families questions/concerns at drop off and/or pick up times, act as a point of contact for the school, answer phones, set up tours for prospective families etc.

Classroom: substitute in all classrooms as necessary.

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma.

Ability to work independently and with others.

Organizational and time management skills.

Willingness to learn new skills and take on new responsibilities.

Experience with office suites.

Administration and office experience.

Physical ability to sit for extended periods and lift 30 lbs.

Desired Qualifications:

Advanced degree and/or experience in a related field, preferably Montessori.

Experience with Quickbooks.

Experience with young children.

Experience supervising others.

This position is a ¾ position, four days/week and 7 hours/day. Benefits include generous vacation time, holidays, spring break, and winter break as observed by the school and company matched simple IRA at the end of the employees first calendar year. This is an exempt, salaried position.
