Visions West Contemporary Livingston, MT seeks a highly motivated and experienced Gallery Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the gallery, cultivating relationships with artists and clients, and developing and executing sales strategies. If you are passionate about contemporary art and have a proven track record in gallery management, we encourage you to apply. The ideal candidate should have specialized knowledge of aspects relating to the planning, organizing, curating, programming and directing the operations of a gallery. Some Responsibilites are, but not limited to:
liaising with collectors and clients, interior designers, museums, artists and various institutions.
Overseeing and coordinating installations, shipping, special events and part time staff
Collaborating and communicating with the Visions West Team in other locations
working closely with the owner to support, optimize, and manage the day to day of running a gallery and keep them informed of day to day news as well as projects, commissions and anything else that arises and needs attention.
assisting in planning and coordinating exhibitions.
Managing inventory, sales, gallery website and various platforms the gallery uses
Driving sales
Maintaining detailed records, invoices, client notes, sales pipelines
Working on social media posts and marketing ideas
Writing marketing emails, and press related documents
Picking up the phone to call on clients
Developing and cultivating new collectors
Keeping the gallery organized and clean
We are looking for someone who brings creativity and vision to the gallery program and works collaboratively with the team at other locations. This candidate should posses sales experience and an outgoing personality to interface with the public.
The successful candidate will be an exemplary collaborator, possess deep knowledge in one or more areas relevant to art gallery management, and have a proven record of sales experience. We are looking for someone who has experience in sales and or the arts.
