Job Summary:

The Engineering/Maintenance team is responsible for opening properties prior to guest arrival, maintenance and repair during the season and closing properties at the end of the season. Kitchen Equipment Technicians will maintain commercial kitchen and beverage equipment in satisfactory operating condition.

The Details:

Position Type: Seasonal

Season Dates: March/April 2024 - October/November 2024

Pay: $20.50 - $22.50/hour (dependent on experience and position)

Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days/per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Responsibilities:

Maintain commercial kitchen and beverage equipment in satisfactory operating condition

Assist in the training of food and beverage department personnel in the proper operation of kitchen equipment

Train General Maintenance Technicians in basic troubleshooting and repair of kitchen equipment

Accurately document labor and materials expended in the maintenance and repair of equipment

Conduct routine periodic inspections of kitchen equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation

Bring equipment online and conduct operational tests as the facilities open for the season. Ensure equipment is properly laid-up at the end of the season

Qualifications:

Aptitude required to complete common mechanical and electrical repairs and maintenance

Proficient in the operation and use of equipment and tools common to kitchen equipment maintenance and repair

Working knowledge and hands-on experience with drive systems (gear, belt, and chain), bearings, flexible couplings, centrifugal pumps, positive displacement pumps, valves, and valve actuators

Working knowledge and hands-on experience with plumbing, steam, and electrical systems

Possess personal computer skills sufficient to efficiently work with the Microsoft Office Software Suite and the ability to quickly gain proficiency in company-specific software

General knowledge of OSHA requirements and the use of personal protective equipment

Ability to read, understand, and comply with all company policies and procedures

Capable of and willing to advance his or her technical knowledge and expertise through on-the-job training and self-study

Capable and willing to mentor and train less experienced Maintenance Technicians and Tradesmen
