Big Sky Connect a service of Downtowner and the Big Sky Transportation District provide an on-demand transit service within the Town Center and Meadow Village area of Big Sky. The service utilizes vans to provide app based door-to-door transportation to residents and visitors. Downtowner is hiring an operations manager to oversee day to day activities.
The operations manager will receive on the job training from an experienced Downtowner representative. The service will utilize company owned vehicles and equipment. Drivers will be W-2 employees of Downtowner.
About the Operation
Riders can request trips within our service area (Town Center and Meadow Village area of Big Sky) during the service hours. Trips are requested using the rider app (available for iPhone and Android devices), or by calling the dispatch hotline.
Drivers will use our company vans and devices to complete their assigned trips during their shifts. When a driver shows up for their shift, they will hop in one of our vans, and login to the driver device located in the vehicle. They will receive all of their trip assignments automatically through the driver device. The fleet will be a total of 4 AWD transit vans, with a maximum of 3 vans in operation during the winter and summer and 1-2 in operation during the spring and fall. The driver team consists of roughly 8 employees. Drivers are paid $26/hr.

Winter (11/27 - 4/22): 6am - 11pm, Daily
Summer (5/27 - 9/24): 6am - 11pm, Daily
Spring / Fall (4/23 - 5/26 + 9/25 - 11/26): 8am - 6pm, M - F

Responsibilities
Initial and ongoing driver hiring, training & scheduling
Day to day oversight of drivers
Fill in for drivers who call out last minute
Provide a positive work environment
Van inspection and maintenance scheduling (maintenance will be performed by an auto shop)
Respond to rider feedback
Correspondence with Big Sky Transportation District
Review service level metrics and driver performance
Qualifications
Experience in guest services
Experience managing a small team
Experience in transportation or shuttle services
Good communication skills
Comfortable with technology
Good problem solving skills
Self starter
Compensation
Salary: $68,000 with room for advancement
Benefits: Full healthcare
Any driving hours will be additional pay at $26/hr
