“Showed up, worked half a day up to my eyeballs in grease and toxic dust (no masks provided), then was told I wasn't making $36/hr +$12.85 benies. They have 2 rates, preparing the equipment and actually using the equipment - $12-14/hr ($16 w CDL) for prep work which is a lot of the time.”
“The benies aren't paid to worker - they go into a fund that, according to current employee, you will never see unless you are year round employee.”
$12-14/hr That’s $20/hr SHORT of their ad.
1” thick pile of paperwork (hours) if you want to be paid for the half day of work you did thinking you were making thirty-six dollars an hour. No call to the office telling Human Resources to fix the ad or inform potential employees they would be making fast food wages (or less) much of the time doing grimy unhealthy work.
You’ll be working with guys that are desperate enough to put up with the fact they were mislead. And helping put money into a guy’s pocket that is used to employee turnover and will talk nice to you but be happy to NOT pay you for time already spent working for less than half of what the job offer ad states.
