We are looking for a Head Chef to join our innovative and growing restaurant. The ideal candidate will have experience working in the food and beverage industry and have knowledge of upscale cuisine. The Head Chef will also be responsible for helping develop our already existing menu, ensuring that all food is prepared appropriately and managing back-of-house staff. We need an upbeat, positive personality that enjoys training younger staff and likes a fast-paced environment and stays positive under pressure.
Responsibilities:
Keep the kitchen clean and organized.
Maintain equipment and facilities in good condition.
Maintain inventories of food and supplies.
Ensure that all health and safety regulations are met while preparing food.
Knowledge of basic cooking methods.
Communicate with servers, host, bartenders, and dishwashers to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen.
Estimate quantitites for food orders.
Preparation of very complex dishes.
Inventory management.
Expected hours: 40 per week
