Job Duties: To care for residents in an Assisted Living environment while helping to maintain the resident’s quality of life with dignity and respect.

• Assist residents with activities of daily living

• Maintain resident documentation as needed

• Obtain residents vitals as directed

• Prepare and serve meals as needed

• Distribute resident medications for their self-administration

• Restock supplies

• Clean resident rooms and common areas as scheduled

• Provide laundry services to residents

• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Skills Needed:

• Good people/communication skills

• Strong compassionate and caring attitude

• Willing to work as an active team member

• Ability to maintain and display a positive attitude

• Ability to multitask

Educational Requirement: High school education or equivalent preferred but not required. Previous direct care experience desired, but will train the right candidate. Must have the ability to effectively read and/or write resident and internal staff communications.

Physical Demands: Walking and standing for greater than 70% of shift. Must be able to frequently sit, stand, bend, and stoop. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 lbs., and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Caregivers are required to use proper body mechanics when assisting and transferring residents.

Shifts: Full-time and Part-time, all shifts. Most positions require at least an occasional weekend.

Overall: Assisted Living is a service industry and our resident’s safety and wellbeing is our first priority. Caregivers should always strive to provide care that meets and exceeds the resident’s and family’s expectations.
