Duties include but are not limited to:
Unload trailers using 4k to 25k forklifts in a safe and organized manner.
Assemble and prep trailers for sale including install tires, wheels, axles, ramps, etc. wash and check lights, repair any damages incurred during shipping and verify trailers are ready and safe to be on the road.
Perform warranty repairs including wiring diagnoses, basic welding repairs on axles or other component replacements.
Truck bed installations include removing existing truck beds, prepping flatbed for install, exhaust modification, custom bracket fabrication (welding possibly 1 hour per project), taillight wiring, fuel fill plumbing and toolbox installs.
Prep used inventory for sale including wheel bearing service, brake service, suspension inspection and repair. Inspect overall safety of units for sale to the public.
General service work on trailers and truck beds not sold at Capital Trailer such as wiring diagnoses or complete rewiring, wheel bearing and brake maintenance, suspension repair and replacement, basic welding repairs, exterior skin repairs, jack and coupler repairs, truck toolbox install and modification.
Vehicle repairs are usually basic and might include replacing a trailer receptacle or adding accessories like a slip tank, front bumper, or gooseneck hitch.
Requirements:
Seeking an individual with a minimum of 3+ years varied mechanical experience to include but not limited to heavy equipment, automotive, agricultural, forestry, oil field etc.
Must have basic knowledge of forklift operation, maintenance, and safety.
Must be able to lift 75lbs repeatedly throughout the day plus standing and walking on concrete floor and in all weather conditions throughout the day.
Knowledge of 12volt wiring, repair, and diagnostics skills.
Must have basic wheel bearing and brake repair knowledge.
Must have basic hand tools that include sockets, wrenches, etc. All specialty tools will be provided.
Knowledge of tool operation and safety including but not limited to welders, grinders, drill press, iron worker, chop saw, cordless tools, air impacts, all basic hand tools and more.
Must be capable of reading and comprehending supplied instructions, for example instructions on a gooseneck hitch or bumper installs.
Attention to detail is required for example, if the job is not square, straight, or otherwise completely presentable it won’t pass our quality control standards.
Seeking an independent worker that has a positive attitude, team player and will work well and be supportive of others. Must be capable of tracking expenses on supplied work order and completing listed tasks as assigned.
