Dusty Star is American Bar and Grill located in South Kalispell, currently looking for a part time or full time line cook to learn and work in our fast-paced environment.
All skill levels considered. Any experience in a restaurant welcomed, and we are willing to train those willing to learn. The Dusty Star has a small team with fun-loving, family mentality, and solid work ethics.
Responsibilities
Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions
Clean up station and stock inventory appropriately
Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
Comply with sanitation regulations and safety standards
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Requirements
Must be committed and reliable
Cooking experience a plus
Flexibility to work weekends, weekdays and some holidays
Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
Have passion for great food and customer experience
Physically able to lift heavy items (50 lbs)
Be a Team Player with strong work ethics
Familiarity with industry’s best practice
Willingness to learn and adapt to current practices
