Overview

The ideal candidate Dental Hygienist is the chief preventive provider of the Practice. This team member motivates, educates, and provides excellent treatment. Under indirect supervision, the Dental Hygienist will properly remove hard and soft deposits from teeth and examine oral areas, head, and neck for signs of oral disease. He/she will educate patients on oral hygiene, provide preventative dental care, take and develop diagnosable X-rays, or apply fluoride or sealants accurately. By discovering and documenting areas of failure, both periodontally and restoratively, he or she facilitates the dentist’s diagnosis and treatment recommendations.

Responsibilities

Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth.

Assess patients' oral health by taking vital signs and recording medical histories.

Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care.

Maintain accurate medical records and document treatment plans using Oryx software

Assist the dentist during procedures as needed, ensuring a smooth workflow in the dental office.

Adhere to infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.

Stay updated on dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and best practices in patient care.

Experience

Previous experience as a Dental Hygienist in a dental office setting is preferred.

Knowledge and use of Airflow equipment preferred (guided biofilm therapy)

Familiarity with dental software systems is advantageous.

Knowledge of medical terminology and record-keeping practices is essential.

Understanding of infection control measures within a clinical environment is required.

Strong communication skills to effectively educate patients about their oral health are necessary.

Schedule

Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday

Hours: 6:30am-3:30pm(M-W) 7:00am-2:00pm(Th).

Patients per Day: 6–7 patients, scheduled for 60-80 minutes each

Up to 8 weeks Paid Time Off (after probationary period)
