Machine and Fabrication shop in Kalispell is seeking a CNC Programmer to write CNC programs for 3,4 and 5-axis milling and multi-axis turning/milling, following engineering models, drawings and verbal instructions.
Duties include:
-Uses all options/capabilities of GibbsCam software to write efficient CNC programs
-Programs simple to very complex parts to print specifications
-Uses GibbsCam tombstone software to array programs/parts for productivity
-Works to optimize and expedite existing programs
-Directs and trains less experienced programmers/machinists
-Fixture design and manufacturing
-Assists to assure tooling requirements are acquired and appropriate
-Completes set-up sheets, tool lists, and all shop related documents
Skills and Qualifications:
-Strong mechanical aptitude and machining background with a focus on precision and high quality
-Ability to program CNC machines including vertical/horizontal mills, two to multiple axis lathes
-Must have outstanding process/operation development skills
-Excellent math skills
-Proven ability to read blueprints with the highest degree of GD&T knowledge
-Ability to use SolidWorks CAD software as needed
