Job Summary:
Patrol Xanterra property to ensure the safety and security of guests and staff, identify potential hazards, and collaborate with law enforcement to protect natural resources while responding to emergencies and assisting visitors. Additional duties may include transporting employees to medical facilities and performing other assigned duties.
The Details:
Position Type: Seasonal
Season Dates: May through September 2025 (exact dates vary by location)
Pay: $16.95/hr
Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)
Responsibilities:
Patrol property buildings and grounds.
Ensure the safety and security of our guests and associates.
Identify potential security and safety risks or hazards.
Work closely with National Park Services Law Enforcement.
Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities.
May be required to drive employees to the clinic in a Xanterra vehicle.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Must have strong and effective verbal communication and writing skills.
Must be at least 21 years of age per National Park Service.
Must possess a U.S. Driver’s License, pass a pre-employment drug test, and comply with Xanterra Driver Safety Program and Policy.
Have basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word & Outlook.
Emergency background is appreciated, but not required.
All security staff will be trained in CPR and AED
Physical Requirements:
Must work various shifts: day, evening, and graveyard.
Must work continuously for up to ten hours or more
Must work a rotation schedule.
Requires frequent standing and walking for up to ten hours.
Requires occasional climbing, sitting, stooping, bending, and/or kneeling.
Must lift/carry up to 25 pounds regularly.
Must lift up to 75 pounds infrequently (e.g. assist emergency medical personnel if needed).
