Hello! We are a family from out of state, and we’re looking for someone to help us manage our new home in Whitefish.
The home is on the mountain, close to the Last Chair grill.
Your job will be pretty simple: be occasionally available to help out with stuff like…
- grabbing packages/mail and putting them in the house
- letting contractors in / out
- making sure landscapers are doing their job
- coordinating with local utilities ie propane, etc.
…basically, you’ll be our local “eyes and ears.”
In the future, we may put our car on Turo, in which case we’d welcome your help managing it, and sharing in the earnings.
We may also occasionally rent our place out while we’re gone, which we’d love your help with. That said, we did not buy the place with the plan to make it a short term rental. Our HOA does not allow rentals shorter than 30 days, and we truly plan to make this place our “second home”.
We're proposing $300 / mo - here’s what we’re thinking:
For most of the year, this will take no more than 2-3 hours / mo. We’d ask you to swing by once a week and check for mail and packages, and make sure all is looking good.
A few instances where it could surge up…
- in the first few months (Aug / Sept / Oct) when we’re getting the place set up
- if we do some planned home improvement next year i.e. re-grading the backyard, adding a pool, etc. and need you to check in on contractors in our absence
- when we visit, it’d be great to have you do some shopping for us to stock the fridge with basics ie milk, eggs, etc. Wouldn’t hurt to have you leave our car at the airport either!
- after we depart from our visits, helping with any cleaning the house, trash stuff, etc.
We’re planning to be there 6-8 times a year - sometimes for a month at a time, sometimes just for a long weekend or short week. Would love to do more, but we have school + extended family commitments here at home.
