Glacier Supply in Bigfork is hiring a Diesel Mechanic to provide service, repairs, and preventative maintenance to a wide range of diesel vehicles and heavy equipment. We sell, rent, and service Yanmar tractors, ASV skid steers, Yanmar compact equipment, Ironbull trailers, Norstar flatbeds, SnowDogg plows, and SaltDogg spreaders.

Benefits and pay range:

Compensation begins at $30.00 to $45.00+ DOE with overtime available.

100% employer-paid health insurance for the employee.

Paid time off.

Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with weekends off.

Full-time, year-round.

Responsibilities and duties:

Completing repairs, installations, and preventative maintenance work on diesel equipment.

Ensuring repair work is done right the first time and completing accurate documentation for the repair.

Triaging equipment that comes in for repair or service work.

Providing leadership to staff through education and example.

Understanding of and ability to complete hydraulic repairs.

Requesting correct parts for repairs and maintenance.

Managing routine maintenance schedules for rental equipment and fleet vehicles.

Ensuring a clean, orderly shop and workspace.

Maintaining par levels of shop supplies.

Participating in additional manufacturer training.

Requirements and qualifications:

Tools are provided by the employee.

Known for quality work and follow-through.

Knowledge and understanding of machine hydraulics.

Previous experience working with diesel engines and equipment (at least 2 years)

Excellent time management.

Accountability.

Ability to read instructions and understand schematic drawings.

Possesses leadership skills and ability.

Excellent attendance.

Driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Having a CDL would be an advantage.
