Job Duties:
Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and heavy equipment. Perform routine repairs and preventative maintenance on diesel trucks and machinery to ensure safety and quality.
Provide on-site and roadside assistance for breakdowns as needed.
Use tools and diagrams to identify mechanical issues, plan repairs, and record all findings, repairs, and parts used.
Follow safety protocols, inspect for hazards and assist with corrective actions.
Keep accurate records of maintenance activities for regulatory compliance.
Support parts ordering, inventory management and tool maintenance.
Collaborate with mechanics and other departments to minimize downtime and communicate repair updates.

Qualifications:
Must have a current Montana Driver’s License and clean driving record.
Must have own tools
3+ years of experience as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic or in a similar role, handling diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems and heavy equipment.
Diesel Mechanic Certification and DOT Inspection Certification are a plus.
ASE Certification or equivalent is preferred.
Proficient in diagnostic tools, welding and basic fabrication.
Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, hydraulics and vehicle electronics.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, handle the physical demands of the role, including bending, climbing and standing for extended periods.
Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
