As a Kennel Technician, you will be responsible for the care, supervision, and enrichment of the dogs in our facility.
Responsibilities:
Provide attentive and compassionate care for all dogs in the daycare and boarding areas.
Supervise group play sessions, ensuring safe and positive interactions between dogs.
Monitor the health and behavior of all dogs, reporting any concerns to the management.
Clean and maintain kennels, play areas, and common areas to ensure a clean and sanitary environment.
Feed and administer medications to dogs as instructed.
Assist with check-ins and check-outs of dogs, including updating records and ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed.
Provide enrichment activities to keep dogs mentally and physically stimulated.
Communicate effectively with pet owners, providing updates on their pets' well-being and activities.
Complete basic maintenance tasks in a ranch setting.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience working with dogs, preferably in a kennel, daycare, or veterinary setting.
Passion for animals and a strong commitment to their welfare.
Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and breeds.
Strong observation and communication skills.
Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and performing cleaning duties.
Reliable transportation and punctuality.
Availability to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings.
