As a ranch hand you must enjoy physical work in the outdoors during all seasons. This position is for a flexible person, who may be called upon to help in other departments on the ranch on a regular basis or a few times throughout the summer and winter.
Duties include but are not limited to:
· Assist in the general maintenance of ranch grounds and facilities
· Various handy work on the property such as hot tub maintenance, fencing and fence repair, corral maintenance, barn and barnyard cleanup, trail maintenance
· Light carpentry and construction
· Vehicle maintenance
· General upkeep of grounds and trash removal
· Feeding
· Burn piles
Minimum qualifications include:
· Possess general ranch maintenance skills such as fencing and equipment operation
· Must have experience with various tools, mowers and equipment
· Ability to carry, push or pull up to 65 pounds for short distances and lift from floor to shoulder height up to 65 pounds
· Ability to work while squatting, bending and/or twisting
· Someone who can work on their own, keep themselves busy and think outside the box
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Must possess a valid driver’s license
· Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
· Good physical condition and able to work a minimum of 8 hours per day
· Proficient with a chainsaw
· Equipment experience is a bonus and will pay higher
