Now hiring School Custodians. As a crucial part of the school community, the School Custodian helps to create a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for students, faculty, and staff. In this role, you will play an essential part in maintaining the aesthetics and functionality of the facilities, ensuring that they are conducive to learning and collaboration.
General Job Tasks & Duties:
Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming.
Maintain cleanliness of classrooms, hallways, and stairways.
Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies as needed.
Empty trash cans and discard of waste properly.
Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces.
Assist with setting up rooms for meetings or events as needed.
Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel.
Follow established cleaning procedures and safety guidelines.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Experience with floor care, including buffing, waxing, and equipment maintenance.
Knowledge of industrial and commercial cleaning techniques and custodial practices.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Organized with a strong attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
Ability to follow instructions while working in a team environment.
Background check and drug screen required upon offer of employment.
Job Type: Evening Shift: Monday-Friday 3 pm – 11:30 pm / Opportunity for a flexible schedule during the summer consisting of 4 ten-hour shifts per week.
Wage: $14.50-$16.60/hr. DOE
