The Zootown Arts Community Center seeks applicants for a full-time Marketing, Events, and Community Outreach Coordinator. Join our fun community arts team in this exciting time for Missoula as we grow into our new downtown space!
This position is responsible for overseeing ZACC marketing and all fundraising and outreach events such as our large annual fundraiser, The Mini Show Art Auction, as well as smaller monthly events and fundraising opportunities such as Drink and Draw at Western Cider and the annual Missoula Gives. This position will also help launch and manage the ZACCâs new downtown Black Box event space, including booking shows, space rentals, and marketing and outreach efforts.
We are seeking a detail-oriented, well-organized candidate with enthusiasm, creativity, positive perspective, and a can-do attitude. This person must be mission-driven, an initiator, team oriented, and a creative problem-solver. This person must have proven fundraising and marketing capabilities, and will have experience in building, managing, motivating, and working strategically to execute all aspects of event logistics.
Essential Functions:
BLACK BOX THEATER:
Help launch and design programming for the ZACCâs new Black Box Theater space, a place for music, plays, dance, and community events
Develop the budget and marketing plan for space
Oversee show bookings, community rentals and event logistics
FUNDRAISERS AND EVENTS:
Plan, schedule and execute fundraising and outreach events in conjunction with key volunteers,staff and community groups
Solicit event sponsors and in-kind goods and services
Schedule and document post event de-briefings
Help Executive Director and ZACC board of directors ideate new fundraisers and events when necessary
Create timetables, and pre- and post-event communication with vendors, volunteers, sponsors, and guests
MARKETING AND OUTREACH:
Keep ZACC social media content up-to-date via Facebook,Instagram and other social media outlets deemed important
Create monthly email newsletters
Draft and distribute press releases for ZACC events and shows
Work collaboratively with ZACC Operations Manager on production and oversight of all promotional materials such as letters, invitations, posters and flyers
Oversee ZACC membership programs
Build and search for new business relationships
Create website content as needed
OTHER:
Provide input to staff meeting agendas
Work with an intention to improve the ZACCâs services during its time of change
Participate in long range planning and annual budgeting
Contribute to a clean and professional work environment
Represent the ZACC positively and professionally when interacting with customers, donors, and any member of the public

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelorâs degree in related field preferred
Two or more years of experience and proven success in event management, marketing, or nonprofit fundraising
Passion for and understanding of ZACCâs mission, vision, and values and the Missoula community
Strong writing and communication skills
Graphic design skills preferred
Experience with website management, Mailchimp, Adobe Suite, and Google docs
