Overview:
Missoula Community Radio seeks a dynamic and experienced Membership and Development Director to engage with the greater Missoula business community, seek and sign-on new underwriters, develop and implement a membership product, market KFGM activities, and strive to meet established performance goals.
The Membership and Development Director joins KFGM during a dynamic moment of growth and opportunity. Working with an experienced leadership team, and a dedicated Board of Directors, they will lead and executive comprehensive fundraising and communications strategies to engage The Missoula Community’s resources. This individual must be a seasoned fundraiser and self-starter with excellent communication skills.
Location:
KFGM is headquartered in the Missoula Public Library. While occasional remote work is possible, this position will entail working from our office the majority of time.
Essential Duties:
-Communicate with the local and regional business community to inform and solicit new underwriting.
-Develop underwriting mentions within the guidelines of non-commercial broadcast.
-Work with the Station Manager and Program Director to schedule new mentions in automation.
-Communicate with the BoD and Staff to maintain and expand the list of fundraising and underwriting contacts.
-Represent the station at regional community events.
-Master and recorded mentions for automation.
-Communicate regular updates in appropriate Slack channels.
-Track and send underwriting contracts.
-Develop marketing materials to solicit new underwriting.
-Develop and implement a membership product for the general public.
-Manage fund drives in conjunction with Missoula Gives in Spring and independently in Fall.

Reports To: Executive Director
Compensation: 20$/hr x 20 hrs/wk with growth based on performance
Performance Goals:
After one-month of employment we hope to see this role achieve the following:
-Collaborate with Station Manager/Social Media Manager to establish schedule of social and local media marketing posts related to fundraising events and station offerings
-Create a refined “One Sheet” marketing document for Underwriting, Individual Donors, and Members
-Develop a contact sheet for Underwriting, Individual Donors, and Members
-Research and target a list of potential grants to apply for
After three-months of employment we hope to see this role achieve the following:
-Contribution to social media posts weekly
-Secure three new underwriters with a one year commitment
-Show progress in the development of Member Assets
-Engaging with the Member base via email and establish communication protocols for marketing and information provided to this list
-Engaging with established fundraising events
-Begun or submitted at least one grant worth in excess of 2k
After six-months of employment we hope to see this role achieve the following:
-Minimum of 10kincome from new Underwriters
-Maintained and further developed Member Assets
-Grown Member Mailing List
-Development of on-air “Donor Drive” and related event (10k goal)
-Submitted grants worth in excess of 4k$
Approximate threshold to full time employment (increase to 40 hours per week):
-Secure 20kannual income in Underwriters
-Secure 20kannual income from individual donors
-Secure 2 new grants in excess of 2keach
-All above mentioned goals met and maintained successfully
