Duties
Perform diagnostics and repairs on vehicles, including powertrain systems, using appropriate tools and equipment.
Understand and perform diagnostics of all electrical and mechanical automotive systems.
Utilize hand tools, electrical testing and welding techniques as necessary to complete repairs effectively.
Work collaboratively with the team to ensure timely and accurate service delivery.
Maintain records of services performed, parts used and communicate findings to service writer clearly.
Stay up to date on the latest automotive technologies.
Ensure compliance with safety(glasses, guards, steel toes) and maintain a clean and organized work environment everyday.
Provide excellent service by completing repairs timely and properly while addressing concerns and providing recommendations for vehicle needs.
Qualifications/Requirements
Tool box and full set of tools for maintenance, diagnostic and repairs, basic fabrication tools a plus.
Steel toed footwear
Tested and proven experience in automotive and diesel repair
Welding experience required, Fabrication a plus.
Knowledge of auto service procedures and diagnostics.
Familiarity with powertrain and electrical systems and the ability to transmit diagnostic information effectively.
Be a learner with problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Self starter with the ability to work independently.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written, to provide clear information.
A valid driver's license with clear driving record.
