Zip Beverage is a family owned and operated beer and beverage distributor that has been servicing
Western Montana for four generations.
Job Summary
Zip Beverage is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team. The focus and responsibility of
Zip Beverage’s mechanic is to ensure our company fleet is properly maintained. Our Fleet maintenance
consists of medium duty semi-trucks, dry van trailers, hydraulic lift gates and components, and SUVs.
The mechanic has their own secured private shop separate from Zip’s wholesale operations located on
our campus. The shop is heated and equipped with select specialized tools, code scanners, 18,000 lb
truck lift, industrial air compressor with air access ports throughout, Tig Welder, Oxy acetylene torch,
bulk oil dispensers and recycling, parts storage, complete IBS Inc electrical, bolt, washer, and lubricant
assortments, office space.
Job Responsibilities
● Schedule and perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs including gas and
diesel engines, tractor/trailer combinations
● Diagnosing issues: Use computerized diagnostic equipment or other tools to identify
problems with a vehicle's engine, electrical system, or other components
● Repairing and replacing parts: Fix or replace broken parts, such as brake pads, wheel
bearings, electrical wires / connections, and sensors
● Repair and replace parts on air brake or hydraulic systems
● Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT and company-mandated safety policies
● Maintain accurate DOT and maintenance records
● Inspect or repair vehicle steering, suspension, wiring to lights, ABS systems
● Maintain and monitor warranty repairs
● Direct repairs of warehouse equipment
● Maintain parts and supplies inventory levels, according to work orders or repairs
● Create purchase orders for parts needed to complete jobs with reference to vehicle number
● Maintain a clean work area to meet Zip and Anheuser-Busch standards
● Conduct road service calls using company provided shop truck to make repairs in the field if
necessary
Qualifications
● Mechanically inclined
● Good communication skills
● General computer knowledge
● High school diploma or GED required
● Valid Class D driver’s license and the willingness to obtain a Commercial driver license
through our training program within a designated time frame
● Diesel/gas engine maintenance experience required
● Mechanical skills associated with auto and truck fleet maintenance required
● Knowledge of Department of Transportation and environmental regulations required
● Must be able to lift 50lbs unassisted frequently and up to 150lbs occasionally
● Must provide own tools
Schedule
● Monday through Friday
● Flexible hours outside of regular scheduled shift may be required to ensure fleet operation
remains on time
Compensation:
● Up to $33.50 / hour, depending on experience (D.O.E)
