JOB DESCRIPTION
We are currently hiring a Conveyor Truck Operator with a solid history of teamwork and professionalism to join our team. This position does require occasional deliveries out of town. Along with the CDL responsibilities, this position will require you to work some manual labor, perform maintenance on equipment and work with a crew as necessary. We are willing to train the right candidate. Starting pay will depend on experience, knowledge, license class and willingness to learn and take on more responsibility. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate equipment efficiently & safely to maintain production goals
- Unload using a remote-control conveyor system to put materials in hard-to-reach places
- Adhere to all company regulations for federal and state DOT safety policies
- Ability to work long hours in all types of weather conditions as needed
- Ability to read, write & understand instructions in English
- Willingness to learn and operate any vehicle assigned
- Climbing in and out of truck multiple times daily
- Complete required pre and post trip inspections reporting necessary maintenance
- Communicate with front office and management to facilitate the flow of information required to provide excellent customer service
- Maintain a clean and safe work area and a clean truck appearance inside and out
- Ability to operate truck to receive load, evaluate slump and drive to job site
- Understanding of tools, equipment, and safe practices
- Ability to do minor repairs and troubleshoot & communicate truck issues
- Ability to lift at least 70 lbs. or more
- Become familiar with our products & their application
- Ability to work flexible shifts including limited weekends and some overtime
- Report all incidents immediately to management
- Work cooperatively and promote good relationships with contractors and other clients
- Ability to work alone or alongside others and maintain good work ethics and communication
- Pick up dirt, materials, aggregates & concrete from one area and transport it to another
- Maintain equipment at DOT regulations & cooperate with DOT inspection officers when necessary
- Ensure truck and cab are cleaned daily
- Other labor and duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- ¬Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have a valid Class A or B CDL and maintain a clean driving record
- Previous conveyor operator and ready mix driving preferred but not required
- Ready-Mix and Aggregate knowledge preferred but not required
- Understanding of FMSCA regulations and rules
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings, including DOT physical, drug screen and Motor Vehicle Report
- Must be able to pass a background check
