Position Title: Marketing Specialist

Position Status: Full-time, Non-Exempt

Position Pay: $15.00- $16.00 Per/ Hr. DOE

About this Opportunity:

The NonStop Local Missoula, MT Marketing Specialist, is responsible for Montana’s Content Marketing initiates. "Production" entails conceptualizing, producing, writing, shooting and editing. You will occasionally direct other employees to complete these productions.

Production of quarterly shows initiated by sales

Production of telethons, including gathering story elements for main production.

Produce and write scripts

Production of various content marketing projects.

Produce, shoot, and edit sales and station promotion spots.

Produce promotional videos that will be used to help sell our product.

Hang banners at station events

Send copy and interface with Missoula voiceover personnel

Change voiceover copy on station voicemail system

Drive to shoot locations

Assist News Director in creating a story plan as well as identifying good day-of stories for promotion.

Producer will work in conjunction to develop consistent “donuts.”

What you will contribute to the team:

Vision and passion for product creation

Writing

photography

Editing skills

Understand the nuances between content, linear, digital, and social and incorporate horizontal and vertical video production

Possess digital writing skills including blogging search engine optimization

Availability to work with the team on community engagement, including live events

Willingness to stay up to date on emerging technologies

Customer Service Skills:

Strong conflict resolution and adaptability to audience preferences.

Professionalism when representing the station at public events or online.

Reasoning Abilities:

Strong critical thinking skills to evaluate sources, analyze data, and make editorial decisions.

Physical Demands:

Frequent standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods eight (8) to ten (10) hours per day.

Occasional lifting of equipment (e.g., cameras, tripods) up to 50 pounds.

Frequent working in tight, confined spaces.

Manual dexterity in operating equipment and computers.

Ability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Work Environment:

Both indoors in various locations and outdoors in various weather conditions.

Possible exposure to moderate or high noise levels both indoors and outdoors.

Extensive travel and on-location work required.

Requirements:

Must possess a valid driver's license with no DUI conviction

Ability to carry fifty pounds of television equipment

Willingness to work outside in the elements for events/productions.

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent required

A minimum of one year of on-air experience at a live commercial media outlet is preferred.

Degree in Video Production, Digital Media or related program preferred.
