Our goal is to provide patients with high-quality medical care close to home where they can be supported by their family friends and community.ResponsibilitiesThe Gift Shop Supervisor has overall responsibility, authority and accountability for supervision of the Gift Shop Coordinator, merchandising, purchasing, displaying, inventory controls, seasonal promotions, and financial management of the gift shop. Responsible for supervising the work of the Gift Shop Coordinator. These duties are performed in consultation with the Director of the Foundation.ESSENTIAL KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversees all operations for the Gift shop with responsibilities including financial

management, inventory management and control, supervise gift shop volunteers, answer volunteer and customer questions and requests, oversee daily cash deposits and solve problems, pay all disbursements, supervise and problems solve with daily cash deposits and financial reports to ensure efficient operations of the gift shop.

Manage all aspects of purchasing for the Gift Shop, including meeting with vendors,

online accounts, and attending merchandising market. Provides special promotions and open house events throughout the year, working with Foundation Director and Marketing to promote events.

Refresh and rotate merchandise displays bi-weekly. Ensures the backroom and

basement storage is organized and clean.

Review Merchandise Trends and shop needs, and develop annual stock, merchandise

and buying plans accordingly.

Designs and directs creative, attractive displays to attract customers in an effective

manner.

Facilitates budget development and manages budget to meet identified financial targets

annually.

Advertises sales and promotions on social media on a schedule set with the Foundation

Director. Ensures the website is up to date with current merchandise sales.

Maintain gift shop hours to be open as advertised, Supervisor or Coordinator will cover

gift shop hours in the absence of volunteers to include weekends.

Work work with the Director to create a calendar with timelines for projects to stay on task (open house invites, floor changes, annual meeting, etc) this needs to include deadlines to ensure team is prepared for events

ESSQualificationsRequired Education and ExperienceAssociate degree in business management retail merchandising, marketing, financial management or closely related field. Five years of applicable experience considered in leu of specific education.Two (2) years of retail gift shop experience to include responsibilities in purchasing, displaying and budgeting preferred.Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Training Expertise in retail management with capability of handling entire retail operations including assessing shop needs, evaluation, planning implementation, motivation, organizing, budgeting, creativity, flexibility, public relations with customers, problem solving, decision making.Knows the fundamentals of accounting - budgets, financial statements, audits, and comparison studies.Able to use personal computer with knowledge and ability to use retail managementKnowledge and ability to conduct market surveys and utilize them for planning.Pay Range$21.23 - $29.20 /hourWe are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
