Nelnet Business Solutions, Inc. d/b/a Nelnet Business Services seeks multiple Software Engineer IIs in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities of the Software Engineer II include designing, creating, maintaining, and improving software applications by performing coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting throughout the application development process. Periodically performs technical analysis and research. Supports quality assurance and client testing as situation demands. Design solutions for typical projects and completes work with minimal supervision. Researches, designs, implements, and manages software applications based on user requirements. Maintains and develops existing applications by analyzing and identifying areas for modification. Other duties as assigned. NOTE: Employee may be stationed anywhere in the continental United States but will report directly to Nelnet headquarters in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field (or foreign equivalent).
Requirements: 1 year of experience in the job offered or related. Other special requirements include: 1 year of experience using the following coding languages: CSS, XML, and SQL; 1 year of experience working with object oriented programming; 1 year of experience working with Spring Framework; 1 year of experience with .Net Core and C#; and 1 year of experience working with version control tools, such as Git and SVN.
