Equipment Reliability Program Manager

This role is responsible to drive the successful planning, implementation, and execution of the Equipment Reliability Program to support the safe and reliable operations of the District's electrical generating assets. This role will utilize a thorough understanding of all Equipment Reliability processes, the objectives and goals, and software applications to provide guidance, support, evaluation, and ensure accountability with respect to the Equipment Reliability Program.The Program Manager manages projects/programs from initiation through closeout, as well as continued execution requirements as assigned and within the parameters of cost, quality, safety, schedule and objectives. Provide leadership for project team members and the project management process. Responsible to comprehensively plan, prioritize, resource, measure and report on progress, delivery, and impact or benefits realization, project communications and required negotiations with internal and external organizations. Position requires integration of multiple functional organizations and works independently with only general direction. Responsible for the pursuit of cost reductions and maximizing value on all assigned projects.

Program/Project Management: Lead the planning, implementation, and execution of the Equipment Reliability Program.

Apply appropriate Project Management techniques, thorough understanding of the Equipment Reliability process, and other OPPD specific systems (LEAN, OPPD Chg Mgmt system, etc.) to lead and deliver assigned initiatives, and projects typically greater than one year in scope and duration.

Establish ad hoc project teams as the need arises.

Drive continued success and execution of Equipment Reliability process after program implementation including, but not limited to, oversight of the master equipment list, Systems & Equipment Reliability Prioritization process (SERP), PM Program, and System and Component Health reporting.

Assist with other Projects as required.

Provide leadership for project team members and the project management process.

Direct, develop and manage the Program Team and integrate all resources.

Responsible for the pursuit of maximizing value to the District, cost reductions, project communications and required negotiations with internal and external organizations associated with successful implementation and execution of the Equipment Reliability Program.

Provide communication to Corporate management and stakeholders for assigned / proposed projects.

Provide development, evaluation and recommendation on contracted services and materials.

Qualifications

Required:

8 years of power plant experience or bachelor's degree plus 5 years of power plant or related industry experience. Master's degree may be considered for up to 2 years of experience.

Strong analytical and consulting skills.

Previous project management experience.

Previous experience managing the delivery of multiple assignments with overlapping priorities & timelines.

Previous experience working in and/or leading cross-functional teams.

Demonstrated ability to influence and effectively collaborate in team environments.

Experience in the development of end-to-end processes, policies, and project plans.

Previous training and individual development experience.

Strong knowledge base in power plant systems, component functions, and programs.

Desired:

Working knowledge of the EPRI Equipment Reliability Process and ISO 55000.

Working knowledge of and experience with Asset Suite.

Portfolio Management.

Strong working experience with business improvement processes such as LEAN, Six-Sigma, Agile, etc.

Previous working experience in more than one functional area of an Enterprise (Ex: IT & Finance).

Demonstrated planning and facilitation skills.

Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.

Advanced Degree (MS or MBA).

Supervisory, Leadership, or Management experience.

Physical Demands:

Must complete driving activities in support of positional duties.

Lift 25 lbs. from floor to waist

Occasional Physical Demands: Lift 50 lbs. from floor to waist.
