OverviewThis position contributes to the CHI Health mission and vision by creating tools to enhance patient access and centralized scheduling. This position works closely providers and operations teams to optimize and standardize patient scheduling templates as well as monitor and analyze access metrics for CHI Health Patient Access / Centralized Scheduling hospital and clinic settings.From primary to specialty care as well as walk-in and virtual services CHI Health Clinic delivers more options and better access so you can spend time on what matters: being healthy. We offer more than 20 specialties and 100 convenient locations; with some clinics offering extended hours.ResponsibilitiesUses and discloses patient protected health information: 1) Only as it applies to job functions, 2) in amounts minimally necessary for intended purpose, and 3) in a confidential manner.

Build and optimize EPIC cadence scheduling templates for providers and other clinic resources in accordance with CHI Health Hospital and Clinic provider work standards.

Uses clinical knowledge, informatics knowledge, practice experience, research background, critical- thinking and leadership skills to facilitate a multidisciplinary approach to promote quality care through the application of informatics in the Patient Access/Centralized Scheduling setting.

Develop and maintain SharePoint sites for the clinic contact center as well as other departments in the system.

Retrieve and analyze access reports from EPIC, compiling data into monthly reports.

Submit and manage EPIC tickets for access.

Optimize and maintain EPIC visit types by specialty.

Work closely with clinic operations leaders as well as IT/EPIC informaticists and analysts to optimize access tools.

Leads Open Scheduling and other online scheduling processes.

Creates and distributes department specific reports.

Analyzes results and makes recommendations when improvement is needed.

Assists in process improvement opportunities and reports out on progress.

Assures effective skills in creation of dashboards, utilizing proficient skills in excel, and epic reporting.

Demonstrates critical thinking and problem solving skills related to hardware and software necessary for Patient Access/Centralized Scheduling.

Other duties as assigned by management.

QualificationsRequired Education for Staff Job LevelsHigh School CompletionRequired Licensure and CertificationsN/ARequired Minimum Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesStrong computer skills and experience with Microsoft applications, specifically SharePoint, Excel and Google Workspace-Ability to set and maintain multiple priorities in an environment with shifting priorities, while providing accurate deliverables in a timely fashion-Must be a team player with excellent follow-up and customer service skills-Strong communication and interpersonal skillsPREFERRED Qualifications-Experience working in a health care setting-Experience with an electronic medical record, preferably EPIC

Associates degree or higher in related field or equivalent job related experience
