Construction subcontractor is hiring for a full time Payroll & Accounts Payable position. This position will be processing weekly payroll, managing our health insurance program, maintaining employee files, and processing our payable invoices. We are looking for a person with accounting experience who pays attention to detail and is dependable
Payroll Responsibilities:
-Communicate effectively with management and employees
-Manage the company's online payroll entry system
-Verify weekly time entries
-Create & modify Excel spreadsheets
-Data entry into company accounting software
-Prepare and distribute weekly payroll checks
-Offer health insurance when employees are eligible
-Process COBRA requests
-Ensure employee files are kept current and in compliance
-Maintain confidentiality of employee matters and files
Accounts Payable Responsibilities:
-Receive and verify vendor invoices
-Reconcile company credit card bills
-Data entry into company accounting software
-Pay vendor invoices in a timely manner
-Communicate effectively with vendors and co-workers
-Use Excel to reconcile vendor statements
Qualifications:
-Prior accounting experience
-Strong internet skills
-Tech savvy
-Strong data entry and Excel skills
-Attention to detail
-Ability to problem solve and recognize discrepancies
-Spanish speaking a plus
Compensation:
$20 - $30 per hour depending on qualifications
