Description We are seeking a Purchasing Agent to join our team in the hotel industry in Las Vegas, Nevada. This role involves managing day-to-day purchasing activities and ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of inventory requests, purchase orders, and invoices.Responsibilities: Hands-on management of daily purchasing tasks across various departments. Accurate data entry and system management for inventory requests, stock receipts, and purchase orders. Generate and maintain organized records of all billing data. Employ the Stratton Warren software for managing purchasing workflows, from initial orders to payment and delivery. Continually improve purchasing systems and policies, and ensure ongoing compliance. Actively participate in buying processes, adhering to the established purchasing policies. Monitor and manage the entry of orders into the system to generate purchase orders. Maintain an organized record of all purchasing activities. Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to purchasing activities. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity. Requirements Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role within the hotel industry Demonstrated understanding of buying processes Proven experience in managing purchasing activities Knowledge of purchasing policies and procedures Ability to negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers Strong analytical skills to evaluate suppliers and products Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines High level of accuracy and attention to detail Proficiency in relevant software applications and tools Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field is preferred.
