Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Verifier to join our dynamic team. This individual will verify patients' insurance coverage and benefits prior to their appointments, ensuring accurate billing and seamless communication between patients, staff, and insurance providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify insurance coverage and confirm benefits for upcoming appointments.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate patient insurance information in the Greenway EMR system.
- Communicate with insurance companies to confirm authorizations and benefit details.
- Inform patients of coverage, copays, and out-of-pocket costs.
- Assist with claim submissions and resolve insurance denials or discrepancies.
- Coordinate with billing and front desk staff to ensure accurate claim processing.
- Prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy office environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or certification preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in medical insurance verification or billing is preferred.
- Working knowledge of Greenway EMR is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other office software.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a medical environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with a focus on accuracy, thoroughness, and speed.
