Position summary :
Shop Laborer - Miscellaneous tasks as they arise
- Assist mechanics as needed
- Assist yard manager as needed
- Cleaning shop equipment
- Minor equipment maintenance – under the mechanics supervision
- Order shop supplies
- Working under the supervision of the shop foreman
- Assist with shipping and receiving as needed
- Cleaning and maintaining a clean shop.
Requirements:
Must be conscientious of quality control for finished products
Must have an team spirit to accomplish final goals and work cooperatively with others
work independently
Attention to detail is essential
Must have good common sense
Experience in a welding / metal workshop would be an asset
Must be flexible to work on various tasks as required
Must have a valid driver’s license
Individual must be safety oriented
Individual must be conscientious and reliable
Able to take and follow instructions
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Willing to work in outside and inside environments
RV Technicians should be proficient in the use and function of RVs and RV systems including, diagnosing problems, inspecting, adjusting and repairing.
RV Technician may have some or all of the following qualifications:
- General RV Repair.
- Engine/generator repair.
- Appliance repair.
- Plumbing and HVAC.
- Auto repair or automotive mechanic.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Must have ability to:
Frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, supervisor and employees.
Aptitude in using various hand tools, electric tools, welding equipment, diagnostic and precision measurement tools.
