Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Asphalt Operator to join our team in Las Vegas. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating various asphalt machinery, including rollers, pavers, and mills. This position may require you to work on the ground with crew members. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient completion of road construction and maintenance projects.
Responsibilities:
Operate paving equipment (skid steer, roller, paver, mill)
Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
Assist in preparing surfaces for asphalt application and removal with asphalt equipment.
Apply and monitor paving process, ensuring proper thickness and smoothness using pavers and rollers.
Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of paving equipment.
Work closely with crew members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience operating asphalt rollers, pavers, skid steers, and milling machines.
Strong knowledge of paving equipment and techniques.
Ability to lift heavy objects, work in various weather conditions and stand or walk for extended periods.
Experience with rake and shovel alongside paving machine.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high quality work.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work efficiently as a part of a team.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
OSHA 10 certification or willingness to obtain one.
CDL is a plus.
