Chambers Landing Bar & Grill is seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join our team as a Restaurant Busser. As a Busser, you will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the dining area, as well as assisting the wait staff in providing exceptional service to our guests. Responsibilities
- Table Preparation: Set up tables with utensils, and condiments before guests arrive, ensuring each table is properly equipped for service.
- Clear Tables: Quickly and efficiently clear tables of dirty dishes, glassware, and utensils once guests have finished their meals, and reset tables for the next guests.
- Clean and Sanitize: Wipe down tables, chairs, and other surfaces to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the dining area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Assist Wait Staff: Support wait staff by refilling water glasses, delivering additional condiments or utensils, and assisting with any other tasks as needed to ensure efficient service.
- Empty Trash Bins: Regularly empty trash bins in the dining area, restrooms, and pier ; and dispose of waste in designated areas, maintaining cleanliness and tidiness throughout the restaurant.
Skills
- Attention to Detail: Ability to work quickly and efficiently while maintaining attention to detail, ensuring that tables are properly set and cleared in a timely manner.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy trays or bus tubs, as well as bend, stoop, and reach to clean and reset tables.
- Team Player: Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues to ensure smooth operation of the restaurant.
- Customer Service Orientation: A friendly and helpful demeanor when interacting with guests, providing assistance and addressing any requests or concerns in a courteous manner.
- Reliability: Dependable and punctual, with a strong work ethic and commitment to fulfilling job responsibilities to the best of your ability.
Requirements
- Food Handlers Certification: All candidates must possess a valid Food Handlers Certification issued by an accredited agency recognized by the State of California. This certification ensures that servers have a basic understanding of food safety principles and practices.
- Availability: Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Legal Authorization to Work: All applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and comply with all federal and state employment regulations.
