Medical Assistant needed for a medical/psychiatric private practice, one provider. Specialty area is dementia diagnosis and treatment. No medical procedures conducted other than vitals. Hours are variable: full time hours often but not guaranteed. I am flexible regarding hours if you have personal/family obligations but we will not consider anyone with routinely occurring obligations during work hours, such as another job. Generally see 5-8 patients per day. Must have extraordinary computer skills and be a very fast typist for the EMR reporting. At times scribing will be needed. Duties will include front office responsibilities as this office only has 2 staff: the PhD/APRN/PMHCNS-BC (owner) and MA. Experience with geriatrics absolutely required (can be non paid experience). Must have excellent communication/people skills and a great deal of patience. Bring resume' and at least 2 letters of recommendation.
