We are looking for a maintenance person to fill our vacant spot here in Carson City. The position is full time working with our other maintenance staff and outside contractors, with a pay rate of $20 dollars to $30 dollars per hour paid every 2 weeks. Your days off can be chosen to fit your needs.
Job Descriptions:
Apartments will need to be refurbished after tenants vacate units. Tasks can include repainting and repairing walls. Removing old carpet and flooring. Removing and installing appliances and fixtures such as sinks, toilets, lights, and smoke detectors. You must be able to lift heavy objects such as water heaters, and move heavy appliances like refrigerators when needed, and having the strength to dispose of these items at the landfill when needed. Other maintenance duties include basic landscaping such as mowing and trimming lawns, removing weeds, trimming bushes and hedges using a variety of power and hand tools, and maintaining and repairing irrigation systems. Additionally, maintenance will be required to remove snow and apply snow melt to walkways during the winter to prevent slip hazards.
Requirements:
Must possess a valid drivers license and have skills to drive the maintenance cargo van occasionally towing a trailer.
Have knowledge on how to fix various problems associated with apartment maintenance.
Preferable- having knowledge of various AC and Heater systems to troubleshoot and diagnose issues.
Able to work in a variety of weather such as heat, cold, rain and snow etc.
Occasionally you may be called in to an emergency if the situation is dire such as a failed water heater, or for snow removal.
