Description:
Position is responsible for pressing the collar and cuffs utilizing a machine which prepares item for final pressing. The learning progression from collar and cuff is the shirt pressing unit. Getting familiar with this will aid in operator rotation to aid in productivity . Position is conducted throughout the day while standing at machine operating area and communicating with team members. This position is part of a production environment therefore repetition of repeated quality is greatly desired.
FULL TIME EMPLOYEES WILL BE ELIGIBLE FOR MEDICAL, DENTAL, AND VISION INSURANCE. ALSO, QUALIFIES FOR 40 HOURS OF PAID TIME OFF PER YEAR!
Primary Duties
-Operate collar and cuffing unit.
-Assist shirt pressing operator in removing shirts from machine by forming collars and placing on hangar.
-Works with laundry department team to accomplish pressing of daily clothes.
Secondary Duties
-Help rotate through breaks of team members at the request of laundry lead.
-On lighter work load days, move to laundry preparation area to assist with organizing shirts to be pressed.
Requirements
-Able to stand throughout day with exceptions to breaks and lunch.
-Able to move 30lbs carts on wheels from various positions in laundry area.
-Situational awareness of shirt pressing operator to assist with work flow.
