We are growing our production team and are looking for a shirt laundry presser to join us in maintaining our high standards for garment care.
Job Description:
As a Shirt Laundry Presser in our production team, you will play a key role in ensuring that shirts are pressed to precision and delivered to our customers in pristine condition. You’ll work with state-of-the-art equipment and be responsible for handling delicate fabrics, ensuring that each shirt is pressed with precision and care.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate professional shirt pressing machines to press shirts and other garments according to company standards.
Inspect garments for stains, damage, and overall quality before pressing.
Follow specific customer instructions (e.g. crease preferences, special requests) when pressing garments.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Ensure pressed garments are free of wrinkles, creases, and imperfections.
Work with the production team to meet daily production goals and quality standards.
Adhere to all safety protocols and operational procedures.
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of pressing equipment.
Assist in sorting and organizing garments for further processing.
Show willingness to learn other areas of department.
Required Qualifications:
Previous experience in dry cleaning or laundry production (preferred but not required).
Ability to operate industrial pressing machines or willingness to learn.
Attention to detail and ability to ensure high-quality garment care.
Ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Must be reliable, punctual, and take pride in your work.
Must be able to read and speak the English language.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a dry cleaning or laundry facility.
Knowledge of various garment fabrics and pressing techniques.
Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
